Louvena Rose Pittenger, 86, of Muncie, IN died Saturday December 27, 2008 at Golden Living Center in Muncie. She was born on July 7, 1922 in Muncie, IN the daughter of Carl D. and Reba R. (Wiggerly) Lucas. On October 21, 1961 she married Ralph Pittinger who preceded her in death.
Surviving relatives include one son, Jeffery Lucas of Muncie, IN; one daughter, Susan Coker (husband: Mike) of Muncie, IN; two grandchildren, Michael and Ashley Coker of Muncie, IN; one sister-in-law, Betty Lucas of Muncie, IN and five nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Carl Lucas and her husband.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday December 31, 2008 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at the Union Cemetery in Desoto, IN. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
