Lowell A. "Bud" Davis, 83, passed away Saturday morning, November 21, 2009 at the Renaissance Rehabilitation Center.
He was born April 12, 1926 in Muncie, the son of Homer and Luella (Jenkins) Davis, graduated from Muncie Central High School and served in the US Army during WWII.
Mr. Davis was an engineer at Delco Remy for 40 years prior to his retirement in 1983, to enjoy his hobbies of Smallmouth Bass fishing, woodworking, and to enjoy life with his wife, Eleanor Jean (Gindhart) Davis, who preceded him in death February 9, 2008. He was also a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Surviving is his son, James L. Davis (wife-Kay), Muncie; his daughter, Karen Sue Glaser (husband-Tom), Mooreland, IN; seven grandchildren, Ed Glaser (wife-Melissa), Mooreland, IN, Donna Lindsey (husband-Chad), Losantville, IN, Jill Bridges (husband-David), New Castle, IN, Jay Davis (wife-Amy), Mooreland, IN, Jon Davis (wife-Cindy), Hartford City, IN, Bryan Fridenmaker, Indianapolis, IN, and Mark Fridenmaker (wife-Tiffany), LaPorte, IN; twelve great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; his brother, Jack Davis, Anderson, IN; three sisters, Myrna Jean Shultz, Patricia Smith (husband-Larry), and Janet Koons, all of Muncie; his sister-in-law, Clarissa Adams (husband-Bob), Muncie; his brother-in-law, George Hauser, Ft. Wayne, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a sister, Carolyn Priddy.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday November 25, 2009 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with Father Dennis Goth officiating.
Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, with a scripture service at 6:30 p.m.
