Lucile M. Duvall, 90, passed away Monday evening, November 16, 2009 at Parker City Health Care.
She was born December 29, 1918 in Indianapolis, IN, the daughter of Henry and Nellie (Marren) Kahl.
Lucile graduated from St. John's Academy, Indianapolis and spent her early years in that area. She moved to Muncie in the late 1950's and was employed with Ball State University for more than twenty-one years prior to her retirement. Her memberships include St. Mary Catholic Church, Daughter of Isabelle, Widow Persons Service, Christian Singles, Ball State Sympathy Club, 50+ Club at St. Lawrence, and No Name Euchre Club at Forest Park Senior Center.
Survivors include one son, Richard Duvall, (wife, Rock), Wisconsin; two daughters, Janice Cutliff, Terre Haute, IN and Theresa "Terre" Varner, (husband, Ron), Parker City, IN; sixteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and several special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Duvall; son, David Duvall; daughter, Joan Hayden; a brother, Leo Kahl; and a sister, Mary Kennedy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Father Andrew Dudvinski officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie.
Family and friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2009 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
