Lucille Jones, 91, of Yorktown died Saturday afternoon, December 5th, 2015 at Willow Bend Living Center. She was born February 27th, 1924 in Parmsleyville, KY and was the daughter of the late Walter & Polly (Davis) Burnett.
December 20, 1941 she married James Dester Jones. She was a member of fellowship Baptist Church, Avondale Sympathy Club and friends Club of Ball Brothers. Lucille retired after 17 years of service at Ball Brothers.
Lucille is survived by a son, Ron M. Jones Sr. (Nona); grandson Ron. M. Jones, Jr (Angie); great granddaughter Darvice Verbern (Jarvis); great-great granddaughters Matai and Zehmiya Verbern all of Cape Coral, FL., one daughter Brenda Lee Phelps (Robert) and grandson Jeffrey Shane Phelps of Muncie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years James D. Jones and two brothers and three sisters.
