Obituary

M. Louise (Powell) Estep, 88, of Muncie, IN died Wednesday March 30, 2011 at her residence. She was born on September 18, 1922 in Hutchinson, Kansas the daughter of Theodore S. and Nettie G. (Hamm) Powell. She graduated from Hutchinson, Kansas High School in 1939, attended Ball State University. On February 23, 1947 she married Harold Ray Estep who preceded him in death on November 1, 2003.
She was payroll clerk, Gay Games, Muncie, Indiana, Legal Secretary, Pieroni, Pieroni, Hynes and Dixon Lawfirm, Muncie, Indiana, retired in 1984 as Executive Secretary to Vice President of Personnel, Marsh Supermarkets, Yorktown, Indiana.
She has served as Den Mother for Cub Scouts, Vice President Parent Teachers Association, both at Sutton School, Muncie, Woman of the Year, American Business Womens' Association, Daleville, Choir member Northside Church of God, Muncie, member Red Hat Society, Muncie and Craft Club, Anderson. She was a member of Northside Church of God, Muncie. She enjoyed crafts and reading.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Ted Estep (Cathy) of Muncie, IN; Steve Estep (Wendy) of Missouri; one brother, Gene Powell (Maxine) of Hutchinson, Kansas; one sister, June Best (Morris) of Sunshine, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Jacque Estep (Zach) of Windsor, CA; Jason Estep (Heidi) of Columbia, Missouri; Jessica Ellis (Joshua) of Indianapolis, IN; Jason Ramey (Kortney) of Muncie, IN; Sophia Deas (Williams) of Gainesville, FL; Larry Brown (Cathy) of Independence, Missouri; Tawnya Howard (Bob) of Lake Waukomis, Missouri; 20 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a step-mother, Mabel, two sisters, and her husband.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 5, 2011 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Jeff Veatch will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
