Mable L. (Booher) Robertson, 91, of Muncie passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Willow Bend Living Center, while in the company of her family.
She was born on the family farm, south of Albany, Indiana on September 13, 1918, the daughter of the late Warren Waldo and Nora Edna (Tharp) Booher.
Mable was a life long Delaware County residence. She was a member of White Chapel Church in Albany, but had been attending Foursquare Gospel Church in Muncie until her illness.
Mable graduated from DeSoto High School in 1936 and Indiana Business College in 1937.
She had worked at Beck's Jewelry, Knapp Supply, National Institute, Chevrolet Muncie, Citizens Finance, Plank's Castle Furniture and retired from Muncie Oil and Coal.
Mable was a past member of the Alpha Center, Women of the Moose Chapter # 712 of Muncie, 38 year member of West Randolph American Legion Ladies Auxiliary #353, and was past membership Chairman for many years.
Mable is survived by her two children, which were the apple of her eye. Her daughter, Marlyn Sue (husband-Chuck) Jenkins of Albany, and her son, Michael Alan (wife-Janellyn) Miller of Muncie; her two grandsons, Todd E. Miller and Anthony (wife-Mary) Miller and their children Brett and Erin Miller, all of Muncie; Mable's nephew, Joe Warren (wife-JoAnn) Booher of Columbia City, and Cortez, Florida; Mable's stepdaughter, Kathryn Sue (husband-Michael) Prentice and their son, Mike all of Anderson; and her beloved cat, Beanie Babie.
Mable was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marion E. Robertson; her brother, Melvin O. Booher; her sister-in-law and best friend, Lilly M. Booher and her special friend, Carlyle D. Rittenhouse.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Parson Mortuary, with Pastor Lane Fairchild officiating.
Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the mortuary.
