Madie Roach, 91, of Muncie passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at her home following an extended illness. She was born to W. Tommie and Lena (Davidson) Webb on September 7, 1921 in Burkesville, Kentucky.
Madie was employed as a baker and cashier at North Side High School from 1972 until her retirement in 1990. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and spending time caring for her family. Madie was a member of the Avondale Sympathy Club.
Survivors include: Children, Shirlene (Max) Johns, Janet Miller both of Muncie, and David (Rita) Roach of Selma. Grandchildren: Kim (Paul Dowell) Thompson, Glenda (Tim) King, Angela (Rick) Tom, Glenn "Buddy" Holt, Michelle Stanley, Rick (Rhonda) Funkhouser, and Aaron (Dawn) Roach. Two step-grandchildren: Nick (Kelly) Jennings, and Tiffany Jennings. Great- Grandchildren: Sean Rhoton, Jason (Nelly) Lindsay, Jennifer (Chris) Frayer, Alan Tom, Brandon Tom, Brittany (Mike) Gohl, Steven Schuyler, Shea Thompson, Staci Funkhouser, Kent Lee Jr., Sammy Lee, Brice Roach, Cody Roach, and Erin Roach. Step Great-Grandchildren Jaiden and Jackson Jennings. Two Great-Great Grandchildren Rylan Riggin and Christian Roach.
Madie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Hall G. Roach; Brothers AL and Allen Webb; and granddaughters Pamela Lynn Lindsay (surviving spouse Randall Lindsay) and Christina Denise Holt.

Friends may call from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Garden View Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow immediately at 1:00 p.m., Denny Helton officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
