Madonna Annabelle Shaffer, 93, of Winchester passed away May 15, 2009 at Summers Pointe in Winchester.
She was born September 25, 1915 in Union City, Indiana to William and Catherine L. (Knoll) Dillon. Annabelle attended St. Mary's School in Union City, IN.
She retired from Anchor Hocking Glass in 1980 where she was a member of the GMP Union Local 14, Anchor Sympathy Club and also to Local 203 since 1932.
She was a member of Y's Owls, St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winchester, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She had also worked in the gift shop at St. Vincent Randolph Hospital.
Annabelle was an animal lover and enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband, Buck. Many friends brought love into her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Billsborough of South Bend, IN; two grandsons, Kevin and Kelly Billsborough; three great grandchildren, Briana Billsborough, Michael Billsborough and Kelly Billsborough, Jr; a nephew, Richard (wife, Donna) Dillon of Union City, IN; two great nieces, Sheryl King and Mishelle Robertson; and one great nephew, Mark Dillon.
Her husband, Paul E. "Buck" Shaffer; and several brothers and sisters, preceded her in death.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2009 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winchester with Father Michael McKinley officiating.
Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN.
Friends and family may call at the Walker Funeral Home from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday.
