Marcia Rose (Shreves) Hatfield, 59, of Muncie, died early Wednesday morning, March 11th, 2015 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born May 18th, 1955 in Muncie and is the daughter of Arlie & Rosemary (Dearinger) Shreves.
Marcia attended St. Lawrence Elementary School. She graduated in 1973 from Muncie Central High School and was a member of the last graduating class from the old Central High School building. Marcia then obtained her nursing degree from Ivy Tech College in 1990. She served as director of nursing at Parkview Nursing Home and then retired from IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital after 13 years of service. Marcia enjoyed NASCAR races with her husband Harold, raising flowers, and being with her dogs. She loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren.
Marcia is survived by her husband Harold Hatfield of Muncie; her son Eric Shreves (Hilary) of Portland, OR; her parents Arlie & Rosemary Shreves of Muncie; her step-son Tim Hatfield (Julie) of Upland; step-daughter Shelley Hatfield of Auburn; five grandchildren, Naomi, Eli, Sophia, Isaac, and Charlotte Shreves all of Portland, OR; her brother Keith Joseph Shreves (Dee) of Ball Ground, GA; her sister Kay Cole (Mitch) of Savannah, GA. She was preceded in death by a sister Janeen Davis.
Graveside Services for Marcia will be held Monday, March 16th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the graveside service at 1:00 at Garden View Funeral Home.
