M. Geraldine Dietz, 88, of Muncie passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie. Born September 13, 1924, in Jeanette, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Radebaugh) Agona.
Geraldine was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, enjoyed cooking, and making ceramics with her friends weekly.
She and her late husband were owner/operators of the Hartford House Restaurant in Hartford City for many years.
Survivors include daughter Patricia (Victor) Kuhns of Muncie; grandchildren Kara (Matthew) Danskin, Erika (Tim) Dornseif, Brian (Kara) Dietz, Kristin Kuhns, and Matthew Kuhns; great-grandchildren Jessica Dornseif, Madison Dornseif, Cormack Danskin and Kullen Danskin; sisters-in-law Betty Agona of Knoxville,Tennessee and Virginia Dietz of Bradford, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Agona, husband Ralph J. Dietz, son Gary Dietz and brothers James, William, and Vaughn Agona.
Friends may call on Saturday December 15, 2012 from 11am-1pm at the Garden View Funeral Home 10501 N. S.R.3 Muncie.
Funeral services will be held immediately following at 1:00pm at the funeral home with celebrant Fr. Dennis Goth.
Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie.
