Obituary

Margaret Verneice Casada, 90, Muncie, went home to be with the Lord, on July 20, 2020.  Margaret was born the daughter of John W. and Genivine M. (Privitt) Hovis, on September 16, 1929, in Matthews, IN.

Margaret was a friendly, caring woman whom liked everyone she met.  She enjoyed going to rummage sales and watching Andy Griffith.  You could always find her sitting in her kitchen playing Yahtzee.  She was a hard worker and worked at Duffey Tool & Die for many years, thus retiring.  She had many friends and enjoyed talking with the girls at work.  She was a devote wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family as well as friends.  She married Cloyd "Keed"Casada.  He always said she was the love of his life.  He was the love of her life as well.  They celebrated 57 wonderful years together.

Margaret was greatly loved and will be missed by many.  Those include her 3 daughters: Diana (Burt) Winningham of Grimsley, TN, Karen (Doyle) Clark of Muncie, IN, and Kathy (Duane) Huffman of Mattoon, IL; 1 son, Terry (Rhonda) Casada of Parker City, IN; Kathy Darlene Casada; 7 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Marjorie Cauldwell of Muncie, IN and Hellen Swartz of Parker City, IN; 2 brothers: Bob Hovis of Richmond, IN and Edwin Hovis of FL; and close family friend, Tom Rumfelt, whom she and Keed thought of as a son.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Cloyd "Keed" Casada; parents; granddaughters: Lori Winningham and Cheryl Clark; brothers: Bill, Marion, Paul, Wesley, Chloie, and David Allen Hovis; and sisters: Mary, Wanda, and Shirley Hovis.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Garden View Funeral Home , 10501 N. State Road 3, Muncie, with the funeral service starting immediately at 1:00 p.m., also in the funeral home.   Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie.  Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com .
