Margie R. Patton, 84, of Anderson, IN died Sunday March 14, 2010 at St. John''s Hospital in Anderson, IN. She was born on December 17, 1925 in Bedford, IN the daughter of Elmer and Efie (McKinney) Knuckles. On March 7, 1963 she married Robert Patton.
She enjoyed traveling, eating out with her husband, and spending time will all her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Full Gospel Temple.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Robert Patton of Anderson, IN; one son and two daughters, Loren Wicker of Michigan; Janice Terry and Andra Wicker of Anderson, IN; two sisters Wilma McPike and Bessie Whitted of Bedford, IN; seven grandchildren, Anthony Terry (Danielle) of Anderson, IN; Amy Burkhardt of Florida; Anka Terry of Valparaiso, IN; Sherina Wicker of Florida; Tammy Wicker of Florida; Laura Prevost of Pennsylvania; Loren Wicker, Jr. of Daleville, IN; nine great grandchildren including her namesake Rebecca Burkhardt and a very special caregiver and friend Mark Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday March 17, 2010 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Denny Helton will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Margie R. Patton.
