Marianne Hahn, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013.

Marianne was born January 23, 1928 in Schweinfurt, Germany to the late Oskar and Betty Hartleb. She moved to Indiana in 1958. She enjoyed reading and knitting. She was a member of the German American National Congress and Liederkranz.

Marianne is survived by two children, Rega Kowalski (husband Bob) of Indianapolis and Val Grikis (wife Eve) of Austin, TX; five grandchildren, Thomas Harte, Stacey Stipp, Holly Turney, Taylor Grikis, and Ryan Grikis.

Marianne was preceded in death by her husband, Johannes Hahn and daughter, Linde Barton.

A memorial service to celebrate Marianne''s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana, 435 Limestone St., Indianapolis, IN 46202.
