Marie L. Concannon, 95, passed away Saturday morning, March 1, 2008, at Elmcroft Assisted Living.
She was born, December 31, 1912, in Dunkirk the daughter of David and Ethel (Collingsworth) Davis, moved to Muncie as a child and attended Muncie Schools. Mrs. Concannon was employed for over 50 years with R. M. Thomas Co. until her retirement. She was also a volunteer at Ball Memorial Hospital for 20 years.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Wanda Concannon, Muncie; seven grandchildren, Jill Ann DeBatty (husband-Brian), Warsaw, Michael T. Concannon (wife-Mary Ann), Albany, J. Andrew Concannon (wife-Leslie), Zionsville, Bruce Lyons, Indianapolis, Jama Warne (husband-John), FL, Lisa Weaver (husband-David), FL, and Brent Lyons (wife-Ellen), AZ; 12 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James L. Concannon; her daughter, Mary (Tootie) Lyons; her son, J. Michael Concannon; and ten brothers and sisters.
Services will be held in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 3, 2008. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel from 1:30 p.m. on Monday until time of service.
