Ridgeville - Marie L. Vore, age 78, a resident of Ridgeville, passed away on Friday, May 06, 2011, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
Marie was born on October 18, 1932, in Wells County, Indiana, the daughter of Leonard and Opal (Ruble) Stockton. She worked for Jay Garment in Portland for several years and Cox Manufacturing in Ridgeville for 20 years, retiring in 1993. Marie married Raymond Vore on August 20, 1949.

Vore (wife Julie) - Ridgeville, IN, and Jeff L. Vore - Ridgeville, IN; 3 daughters, Janie S. Sheffer - Ridgeville, IN, Diana M. Edwards (husband David) - Deerfield, IN, Sherri Daniel (husband John) - Parker City, IN; 5 sisters: Carol Smith (husband Richard) - Muncie, IN, Callie Wilkerson (husband Orval) - Albany, IN, Mary Ross (husband Skip) - Bluffton, IN, Celia Pearcy (husband Dave) - Portland, IN, and Francis Beaver (Charles) - Miamisburg, OH; 3 brothers, Roger Flowers (husband Karen) - Bluffton, IN, Donnie Flowers (wife Glady) - Berne, IN, and Jim Flowers - Bluffton, IN; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation for Marie Vore will be held on Monday from 3-7 p.m. at the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland. Pastor Jonathon Edwards will officiate and burial will follow in the Garden of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
