Obituary

Marilouise Walker, 95, of Muncie, died Wednesday evening, October 7th, 2015 at her residence. She was born April 9th, 1920 in Muncie and was the daughter of the late Louis & Stella (Grimm) Day.
Marilouise was a faithful member of Union Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Muncie Housing Authority after 20 years of dedicated service. She also was employed with Muncie Community Schools for 15 years and Ball Memorial Hospital for 8 years. Marilouise was a member of Naomi Chapter # 11, O.E.S., and Household Ruth 4618. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Marilouise is survived by her loving children Robert Michael Smith (Jysette) of Fresno, CA, William Franklin Hoosier (Bernita "Bonnie") of Anderson, and Stephanie J. Sanders of Muncie; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Walker and daughter Benita Kaye Smith.
Funeral Services for Marilouise will be held Wednesday, October 14th, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 1100 North Macedonia Avenue, Muncie, IN 47303, with Minister Robert Scaife officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14th, 2015 at the church. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to friend and caregiver Fay Barton of Muncie.
