Marilyn Rae Gifford, 65 of Muncie passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025. She was born to the late Thomas R and Doris M Butts.

Marilyn graduated from Union School Corporation class of 1979 in Modoc. Her deep love for her family and their connection each maintained.

Marilyn is survived by husband Ray Gifford, Jr; daughter Tonya (Andrew) Lilly Ray-Cross; son Ray (Brittney) Gifford III; granddaughter Izabella K. (Brock Hays) Wisener, step grandson Connor W. Cross, grandchildren Autumn, Bradley, Brianna, Levi, Ally and many more; siblings Evelyn Spivey and Roy Butts as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is proceeded in death by both parents; brothers Albert Butts, Robert Butt, Keith Butts and Jon Butts and sisters Ruth Johnson, Virginia Hyde, Jeanne Pittman-Bunch and Trudy Kime.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 11:00 am until the time of service at Garden view Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Marilyn will be laid to rest at Gardens of Memory.
