Marilyn Joan (Polhemus) Miller, aged 89, passed away on June 28, 2025. Formerly of Muncie, she resided in North Port, Florida.  Marilyn was born on September 22, 1935, in Muncie, Indiana, to Kenneth Polhemus and Dorothy Meranda Polhemus.  She was a dedicated Registered Nurse whose compassion and commitment to caring for others were evident throughout her career.  She worked in nursing homes and was also a school nurse for a few years in the Muncie area.

Marilyn enjoyed engaging in a variety of activities including solving puzzles, playing games, performing on the organ and piano, singing with choral ensembles, bird feeding, reading, exploring arts and crafts, attending church, and spending cherished time with family and friends.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Stephen Miller (Rochelle) and Brian Miller (Marianne Banford); daughters, Jane Lee (David) and Debra Hollowell (David); grandchildren, Lindsey Preston (Bryan), Tim Hollowell, Amy Hollowell, Alicia Miller, Morgan Miller, Ashley Wright (Donnie), and Jordan Miller (Nikki); as well as great-grandchildren, Branden Hawkins, Erin Wright, Eli Wright, Landon Miller, Eugene Preston, Patience Preston, and numerous other beloved relatives.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Edward Miller; her parents, Kenneth and Dorothy Polhemus; and her brother, Robert Polhemus.

A ceremony celebrating Marilyn's life will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, Indiana 47303.  Visitation is from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m., the funeral service will commence at 1:30 p.m.  The family desires to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time.
