HARTFORD CITY - Marion Lewis Woolard "Termite", 89, died at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at University Nursing Center in Upland.
He was born on June 14, 1921 in Hartford City to the late Fredrick Cleo Woolard and the late Effie L. (Elliott) Woolard. Marion married Adolene (Frazier) Woolard on July 1, 1950 in Eden United Church of Christ in Eaton, IN. She precedes him in death on August 5, 2008.
He served in the United States Army Medical Corp during World War II.
Marion retired from Warner Gear after 30 years of service. Marion also owned and operated Woolard Electric in Hartford City for many years.
He was a life member of Elks Lodge #625 in Hartford City and was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Hartford City.
He enjoyed horses.
He will be sadly missed by his son, N. Kenneth "Kenny" (wife, Judy) Warner of Hartford City; grandchildren, Tiffany (husband, Kent) Steiner, Kendra (husband, Troy) Clements and Mitch Warner; great-grandchildren, Caleb Steiner, Micah Steiner, Haleigh Clements and Tori Clements; sisters, Freda (husband, Gerald) Anderson, Crystal Corn, Marcia Hiser, and Thelma Revis; one brother, Howard "Butch" (wife, Lois) Woolard; and several nieces and nephews.
Marion was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and sister, Betty Richardson.
Funeral services for Marion will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2010 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 North High Street, Hartford City, IN with Pastor Keith Kincaid of The First Christian Church - Disciples of Christ officiating. Entombment will follow at
Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Muncie, IN.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Keplinger Funeral Home or two hours prior to service time on Monday.
