Marjorie Hoover, 96 of Muncie passed away Monday afternoon, September 11, 2017 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was born November 12, 1920 in Shelbyville and was the daughter of the late Ollie & Ethel (Williams) Gilbreath.
Marjorie graduated from Shelbyville High School and obtained her LPN from Ball Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, canning and loved being with her family.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter Vicki Rule (Frank) of Muncie; two sons David and Daniel Hoover; a special granddaughter who helped in her care, Missy Lacy (Marcus) of Muncie; special grandchildren Ryan Lacy (NoNa) and Kayli Lacy; a special great grandchild Karson Lacy and Jaidyn; eight other grandchildren along with four other great grandchildren; a brother Jim Gilbreath and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Joseph Hoover; a son Thomas Metcalf; a brother Paul Gilbreath and a sister LeAnne White.
Graveside Services for Marjorie will be held Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in the mausoleum chapel in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Garden View Funeral Home.
