Marjorie Ellen Keller, 82, of Muncie, IN, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Golden Living Center of Muncie. She was born on May 26, 1928 in Shideler, IN to the late Claude and Ellen (Holmes) Huffer. Marjorie is a Royerton High School graduate. On January 16, 1947 she married her love, Ralph E. Keller in Muncie.
Marjorie was employed with Unitog (Cintas) as a key punch operator for 15 years before retiring in 1993. Marjorie was an active member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church as well as the Royerton Homemakers. But above all, she deeply loved her grandchildren.
Marjorie is survived by her loving children: Toni Ortega (husband, David) of Muncie; and Debra Peckinpaugh (husband, Bill) of York, SC; daughter-in-law Chris Ellingwood of Hartford City, IN; sister Norma Gunter of Phoenix, AZ; 2 brothers: Claude Huffer Jr, (wife, Joyce) of Muncie; and Oren Huffer (wife, Lois) of Fort Wayne, IN; 7 grandchildren: Jake, Gabe, Aaron, P.J., Christina, Josh, and Marc; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 43 years, Ralph Keller; son Charles Keller; daughter Claudia Wernicke; and sister Donna Dragoo.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 14, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Center Chapel United Methodist Church, 900 W. Royerton Rd, Muncie, with Reverend Rusty Clements officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Center Chapel Church.
