Obituary

Muncie - Marjorie N. Shook, 86, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010, at Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born on December 2, 1923 near Winchester, Indiana in rural Randolph County, the daughter of Chester and Lonval (Thornburg) Bailey.
Marjorie graduated from Indiana Business College. She married the love of her life, Oscar W. Shook in August of 1947 in Muncie.
Mrs. Shook had been a homemaker.
She was a member of the Bethel United Baptist Church.
Marjorie enjoyed reading and doing crochet work.
Survivors include her husband, Oscar W. Shook, Selma; three daughters, Brenda Kay Thompson (husband-Lee), Port Arthur, Michigan, Alberta June Morgan (life partner-Darlene), Parker City and Janie Johnson, Lampsas, Texas; two sons, S. Joe Shook (wife-Becky), Selma and Randall Jay Shook (wife-Debbie), Muncie; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two brothers, David Bailey, Indianapolis and Don Bailey, Portland.
She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Chad Marlow and Bear Johnson; one granddaughter, Angel Pyle; three sisters and four brothers.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, 1:00 p.m. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Hoyt Davis officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery north of Muncie.
Friends may call on Monday, November 1, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.. and again on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the Parson Mortuary.
