Marjorie Louise (Vyain) Snyder, 78, of Muncie, IN died Saturday August 22, 2009 at Muncie Health and Rehab Center. She was born on June 7, 1931 in Muncie, IN the daughter of Christopher Fannin and Elizabeth Ann (Ward) Clevenger. She graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1949. On February 17, 1984 she married R. Larry Snyder.
Marjorie loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing, singing with her sisters at church, playing golf, and her dog named Zorro. She attended the True Light Baptist Church in Muncie. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
Surviving relatives include her husband R. Larry Snyder of Muncie, IN; four children, Richard Vyain (wife: Lisa) of Ft. Myers, FL; Sandy Hubbell (husband: Greg) of Mooresville, IN; Danny Vyain (wife: Sali) of Kokomo, IN; Mark Vyain (wife: Jenny) of Fishers, IN; one brother, Wayne Fannin (wife: Kay) of Hot Springs Village, AR; two sisters, Ruth Richmond (husband: Dick) of Muncie, IN; Dorothy Hart of Muncie, IN; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, first husband, Henry (DeDe) Vyain; two brothers Ralph and Billy Fannin; and her step-father who raised her, Merrill Clevenger.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 27, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Dennis Trimble will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ladies Auxiliary at True Light Baptist Church in Muncie.
