Martha Jane Lehman,83, of Muncie, went to join her Lord and Savior, at 12:30 pm, on February 19, 2026, at Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital.  She was born in Madison, West Virginia, on May 25, 1942, to Clarence and Ruby (Hager) Burgess.  On July 3, 1958, she married Clifford "Kip" Lehman, and he survives her.

Martha and Kip enjoyed a life inseparable of hunting, fishing, collecting vintage cars, and showing them at many different towns all round central Indiana.  Martha was proud to be a coal miner's daughter and was happy to pick up a microphone and sing that song with pride and joy everywhere.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Clifford "Kip" Lehman; brother, Clarence Burgess; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles Burgess and Jack Holt; sisters, Roma Maggard, Mae Lehman, Mary Tomblin, and Karen Smith.

The family will receive visitors from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 IN-3, Muncie, Indiana 47303.

A service celebrating  Martha's life begin at 1:00 pm with burial at Gardens of Memory in Muncie.
