Martin Wyn Brown, 77, of Jamestown died early Thursday morning, July 3rd, 2014 at Danville Regional Rehabilitation. He was born July 3rd, 1937 in Miami County and was the son of the late Gordon & Winnie (Smith) Brown.
Martin was a press operator for Corning Glass for 20 plus years, he retired in 2000 from Bluffton Rubber Company. Martin enjoyed playing country music and being with his family. After retirement he enjoyed being a door greeter at the Brownsburg Walmart.
Martin is survived his daughter Silva Chamberlan of Ohio, a son Erick Brown of Churubusco, IN, and a daughter Laura Edwards of Jamestown; a grandson Terry Goodpaster of Burlington, IA; three brothers Homer Brown (Karen) of Kokomo, Joseph Brown of Peru, and Gordon Brown (Nancy) of Murray, Utah; a sister Wilma Secaur of Fort Wayne. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Betty Brown in May of 2013, brother Howard Brown, sisters Mariel Neff, and Louise Cain.
Funeral services for Martin, will be held Monday , July 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Coleman Barlow officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 2- 6 p.m., on Sunday, July 6. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer''s Association, with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
