Marvin P. Adams, 80, of Muncie, died Sunday afternoon, at home, March 30th, 2014. He was born September 21st, 1933 in Tullahoma, TN and was the son of the late Pinkney A. & Effie Mae (Hix) Adams.
Marvin retired in 1995 from Colonial Bakery as a truck driver; he also worked for 40 years at Mac''s Motor Inn. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge of Alexandria, Moose Lodge of Muncie, and a member of the Son''s of the American Legion. Marvin was a member also of the Teamsters #135; he was an avid Nascar Fan, and Muncie Mall Walker.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Joyce Ann (Bonner) Adams of Muncie, whom he married November 3rd , 1952; seven children, Judy Ann Terrell of West Palm Beach, FL, Susan Kay Clayborn of Alta Loma, CA, Timothy Adams (Wilma) of Leavenworth , KS, Sandra Jo Adams of Ontario, CA, Karen May Adams of Tonawanda, NY, Constance Joann Eppard (Steve) of Alachua, FL, and Christina Marie Moore of Anderson; thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; one brother P.A. Adams of Riverview, FL; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Terry Lee Adams; two grandson''s Britain M.D. Clayborn and James David Scott; a great-grandson Lawrence Adkins; four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral Services for Marvin will be held Thursday, April 3rd, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve St. John officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions maybe made to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospice.
