Mary Koger passed away peacefully on July 5, 2015 in the presence of her children Desiree (Geoff Gustafson) and Mike (Marina Koger). Mary was an elementary school teacher in Muncie for 34 years at Blaine, Anthony, and Storer Elementary Schools. Her grandchildren Brayden, Nathan, Nolan, and Luke were the highlight of her life and always made her laugh. She often reminisced about camping trips she took with her family when she was young with her sisters Alice and Juanita and brother Tim. Even in the last few years she spoke frequently of her mom and dad, Vesta Marcella and Warner, and her childhood home in Muncie. She faithfully attended Gethsemane United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir with her Desiree. Mary suffered from a long term illness but always had a smile for everyone she met and was drawn to children until her last days. William Koger was her rock and cared for her in her home until the very end. Memorials may be made to Gethsemane United Methodist Church.
