Mary Jayne Correll passed from this life Friday morning, April 2, 2010.
Jayne was born in Muncie on June 5, 1923 to Henry Patrick Leyland and Hallie Mae Wood-Leyland and lived in the area most of her life. She graduated from Eaton High School in 1941, and went to work at Muncie Gear during the war years following. It was at this time Jayne met Paul Correll, to whom she was married in 1946, and later divorced. They had one child, Paulette Mangan, who was born in 1947, and predeceased her in 1995.
Jayne was a long time employee of Ball Memorial Hospital, where she established many friendships.
Left surviving her is one nephew, retired Muncie physician Phillip Cooley, his wife, Carolyn, one great nephew and four great nieces. Jayne was predeceased by her parents, her daughter, two sisters, Dorothy Elaine Leyland and Rebecca Faye Cooley, and a
Visitation will take place at the Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN on Tuesday, April 7, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to local charitable organizations.
