Mary Lou Walker, 78, of Albany, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

Mary Lou was born September 9, 1935 in Winchester, Indiana to the late Kenneth and Zelma Cougill. She worked as a custodian for Desoto Elementary for 30 years. She had attended Desoto United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, and fishing in her younger years.

Mary Lou is survived by two children, Deborah Davis (Partner Fred Thompson) of Mooreland and Randy Walker of Muncie; granddaughter, Stephanie (DeWitt) Anderson (husband Joe) of Selma; great-granddaughter, Beonna Anderson of Selma; sister, Sandy Livingston (husband Edward) of Yorktown; and a sister-in-law, Betty Cougill of Florida.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Walker; son, Michael Walker; and brother, Bob Cougill.

A funeral service to celebrate Mary Lou''s life will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Road 3, Muncie, Indiana. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 11:00am to 1:00pm Saturday, at Garden View Funeral Home.
