Mary Ann Davis, 82, of Muncie , IN died at 4:08 a.m. on October 9, 2007 at her home. She was born on July 4, 1925 in Hartford City , IN the daughter of Charles and Millie (Vickers) North, and resided in Muncie until 1985 when she moved to Florida and returned in 2007.
She and her late husband of 52 years, James Paul Davis, owned the Davis Restaurant in downtown Muncie from the late 1940''s until his retirement in the 1970''s.
She is survived by her daughter Janet Privett in Muncie , IN and her sons Robert Gibson (wife: Mary Kay) in Fortville , IN and James Gibson in Brooksville , FL. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Pat Dickinson (husband: David) of Parker City , IN ; Jeff Privett (wife: Jenne) of Muncie , IN ; Deanna Starnes (husband: Chaney) of South Aven , Miss. ; Lisa Wolfe of Muncie , IN ; and six great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Ashley, Brianna, Patrick, Zachary, and Andrew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, sisters Marjorie Seidner, Wanda Tosh, two brothers, James and Charles North.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday October 11, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie . Visitation will be on Thursday from 12:00 until 1:00 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ball Memorial Hospice, the American Cancer Society or to any choice of the donor.
