MUNCIE, INDIANA - Mary Jo Featherston, age 95, passed away peacefully on December 24,
2023, in Muncie, Indiana. She was born on December 21, 1928, in Muncie, Indiana, to the late
John and Ica Pickard. Mary Jo was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-
grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, and great-aunt.

Mary Jo was known for her vibrant and happy personality. She always had a smile on her face
and was willing to go above and beyond to help her friends and family. Family was of utmost
importance to her, and she made it a priority to attend all of her great-grandchildren & #39;s sporting
and school activities.

She is survived by her son, Mark, daughter Patricia (husband James Hughes), five grandchildren
- Brittany (husband Heath Dumpert), Lauren (husband Scott Pherson), Drew, David, and Joseph,

as well as seven great-grandchildren - Haidyn, Brynlee, Rigby, Phoenix, Ember, David, and
Taron. Mary Jo is also survived by her sister-in-law Phyllis Pickard, five nieces and nephews, ten
great-nieces and nephews, and three great-nieces and nephews.

Mary Jo was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russell, her brother John, a great
grandson Griffin, and her parents, John and Ica Pickard

Services for Mary Jo Featherston will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024, at Gardens of
Memory. The viewing will take place from 11 am to 1 pm, followed by the service. Garden View
Funeral Home, located at 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, Indiana, is assisting the family
with the arrangements.
