Mary Lee Coleman, 94, of Muncie, died Thursday evening March 26th, 2015 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born June 15th, 1920 in Morehead, KY and was the daughter of the late James & Chloe (Haney) Hall.
Mary retired from Duffy Tool & Die after serving 15 years of service. She enjoyed gardening and canning. Everyone loved Mary''s cooking. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother and devoted her life to taking care of them. Mary was a long time member of McCormick View Chapel.
Mary is survived by her three children, Guy Gary Coleman of Muncie, Ronald Coleman of Dunkirk, and Janet Johnson of Dunkirk; five granddaughters, Kelly Amonette of Livingston, TN, Rhonda Coleman of Muncie, Jamia Griffith of Muncie, Amber Webb of Muncie, and Sarah Coleman of Dunkirk; three grandsons, Darren Coleman of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Thomas Carnes of Dunkirk, and Neal Carnes of Atlanta, GA; thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; a sister Olive Thompson of Anderson; extended family Rodgers Wages of Dunkirk; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Sharon Coleman and five brothers and five sisters also preceded her death.
Funeral Services for Mary will be held Tuesday, March 31st, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Steven Belisle officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
