Katherine McVay, 56, passed away in her sleep on May 22, 2014 at her home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born Mary Katherine Nell in Campbellsville, Kentucky in 1957, Katherine spent the early years of her life in Gradyville, Kentucky. She then moved to Richmond, IN, where she met her husband, and the love of her life, David McVay. Katherine was a loving and supportive wife, mother, and friend. Katherine''s passion for perfection made her always encourage her family to strive for greatness. Her mantra was that the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. She loved biology, medical science, reading and crime drama television. Katherine worked as an Avon District Sales Manager for over 25 years. She is survived by her daughter Stacci (Ryan) Cronk; son, David R. McVay; grandson, Kellan Cronk; sister, Gina Bumpus; nephew, Sky Bumpus; niece Breezy Bumpus; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by husband, David W. McVay; mother, Hallie Patricia Clark and father, Eugene Nell. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7 at 1 pm at the McVay home, 6516 Drakes Bay Run, Fort Wayne, IN 46835. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Garden View Funeral Home.
