Mary Bea Thompson
95, departed her loving family September 1, 2012 in Green Valley, Arizona. She was Preceded in death by husband James, daughter Glenna Sue (Boon) O''Dell, grandson Michael O''Dell, five sisters and three brothers. Survived by sister Jo Iva Blye, Lafayette, IN, Daughters Jama (George) Mulleneix, Tucson, AZ, and Milla (Len) Finchum, Hobe Sound, FL, son Charles (Linda) Thompson, Gaston, IN, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, many nieces, Nephews and a large extended family.
Mary Bea lived most of her life in Muncie retiring from Ball State University as a book- keeper at LaFollette Dining Service. She also worked for the DelawareCounty Auditors office and was active with the Democrat Party. After retirement she moved to Tucson, Arizona, where she lived for the past 29 years, and was a member of three senior citizens clubs. She was well known for her ability to tell stories, recite poems and sing songs to both young and old. She was an enthusiastic Arizona Diamond- Back baseball fan and avid University of Arizona basketball fan. Besides her family the Diamond- backs and UofA basketball will greatly miss her love and support.
The family will be receiving visitors at Garden View Funeral Home at 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 17th With graveside services at 2:30 pm in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
