MUNCIE - Mary Alice Thrasher, 77, went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, October 26, 2010 at Liberty Village.
She was born April 3, 1933, in Jamestown, Tennessee, the daughter of Della (Maynard) Thrasher and James Thrasher. Mary came to Muncie as a young child. She worked at Hillcroft for over twenty years. Mary lived at the Occazio Group Home in Selma for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her extended family at the group home in Selma.
Mary will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include two brothers, Junior Thrasher, (wife, Joyce) and Frank Thrasher; one sister, Margaret Anderson; two sisters-in-law, Betty Thrasher and Lola Thrasher; several nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Edna Thrasher and Verta Small and two brothers, Ray Thrasher and Donald Thrasher.
Services will be held 12 noon Friday, October 29, 2010 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Pastor James O. McCowan officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
Family and friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday or one hour prior to services Friday.
