Mary L. Wade, 78, passed away on Friday, November 5, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born on June 12, 1932 in Muncie, IN to the late Silas A. and Mary F. (Wallace) Burke. On March 9, 1972 she married William M. Wade in New Burlington, IN.
Mary was a homemaker all of her life. Additionally, she was a caretaker for her parents and brother for many years. Mary enjoyed playing the piano as well as the guitar; was an animal lover; and loved spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her husband of 38 years, William Wade; 3 sons: Robert F. Coleman (wife, Diane); Richard E. Coleman (wife, Connie) and Bruce A. Coleman, all of Muncie; daughter Tammy M. Wade of Elkhart; 2 step-daughters: Joni Roysden (Gregg Carvel) and Sandra Wade, all of Muncie; brother Charles Burke (wife, Laronna) of Muncie; sister Donna Fruitt of Anderson; aunt Nancy Mansker; 8 grandchildren: Amy Enterkin (husband, Tim); Rob Coleman (wife, Angela); Heather Hood (husband, Michael); Matthew Coleman (Gina); Joshua Coleman; Justin Coleman; Reba; and Tiera Liby; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Robert F. Coleman, Sr.; brothers: Fred, Oliver, and Jack; and sisters: Minnie McKieghen and Rosie Hayes.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 8, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Fred Burke will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
