Mary E. Lutton, 84, of Muncie, passed away Tuesday, September 02, 2014 at Henry County Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Indiana.

Mary was born on December 31, 1929 in Carlisle, Indiana to the late Russell and Ruby Wilson. Mary lived most of her life in Muncie graduating from Muncie Central High School. She married Raymond Lutton, a Muncie Police officer, on April 2, 1949. Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed crafts and music, especially playing the mandolin.

Mary is survived by two children, Russell Lutton of Avon and Cindy Riddle (husband Carlos) of Losantville; a sister, Jewell Kolcheck (husband Tom) of Danville; a daughter-in-law, Vicki Lutton; nine grandchildren, Holly Reno, Damon Lutton, Darrell Lutton, Josh Hutson (wife Florence), Jamie Navas (husband Carlos, Adam Lutton, Carey Riddle, Ciara Lutton, and Stephanie Lance (husband Cody); 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Lutton, in 1992; a son, Thomas Lutton, three brothers, John, Jerry, and Robert Wilson; and two sisters, Rejena Gilbreath and Linda Black.

A funeral service to celebrate Mary''s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 5, 2014 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Road 3, Muncie. Pastor Jim Ballenger will officiate. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 4, 2014, at Garden View Funeral Home. Family will also receive guests one hour prior to services on Friday.
