Maudie Whited, 77, of Muncie, IN passed away after an extended illness on March 24, 2007, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born Maudie King, daughter of Litha (Slaven) King and C.C. King, November 28, 1929 in Kentucky.
Maudie was an accomplished seamstress and quilter. She found great joy in taking care of her family. She shared over 54 wonderful years with her husband Otto. She also worked in various industrial jobs in the Muncie area for 11 years.
Surviving relatives include her beloved husband, Otto Whited of Muncie; daughters, Sheila Piazza (husband - Doug) of Muncie, Connie Whited Laughlin of Muncie; grandchildren, Tony Piazza (wife - Elizabeth) of Muncie, Katie Laughlin of Muncie, Jake Piazza of Muncie; one great-granddaughter, Molly Piazza of Muncie; brothers, Paul King (wife - Juanita) of Springport, IN, C.C. King Jr. of Kentucky, Bob King; sisters, Mary Lou Parsons (husband - Ernie) of Crossville, TN, Zora M. Everett of Crossville, TN, Carol Patton (husband - Dale) of Crossville, TN, and several nieces and nephews. Maudie was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Dester King, Estell King, Dewitt King, John King.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN with Pastor Hoyt Davis, Pastor Eric Lambert and Reverend Dewayne Loveless officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 PM - 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
