Maxine Landefeld, 86, of Dunkirk, IN, went to be with the Lord at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 25th, 2009 at her residence.
Maxine was born in Portland, IN on July 28, 1922, the daughter of the late Emery and Opal (Poque) Harness of Dunkirk.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the American Legion Aux. 227 in Dunkirk.
She was an avid angler, camper, and doll collector. She loved her beloved pets Holley, Angel, and Tina.
She was the widow of the late Charles E. Landefeld.
Maxine is survived by a daughter, Dianna K . Hayden (Ruble M. Crabtree) of Dunkirk, IN; a son, Donald L. Lanefeld (Patricia) of Harvest, AL; two grandchildren, Kip E. Hayden (Robin) of Dunkirk and Christpher A. Hayden of Dunkirk; two great grandchildren, Austin and Nicholas Hayden of Dunkirk; one sister, Mildred Greer (Jerry).
Maxine was preceded in death by her brother, Robert (Bob) Harness; and sister, Mardell Blair.
Funeral services will be at MJS Mortuaries - Dunkirk Chapel, Dunkirk, IN, at 11:00 a.m on Thursday, April 30th, with Pastor Randy Davis officiating.
Friends are invited to call Wednesday from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at MJS Mortuaries - Dunkirk Chapel.
Interment to follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Road 3, Muncie, IN.
