Maxine L. Pitser Jones, 91, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 at Liberty Village Health Care in Muncie.

Maxine was born December 7, 1921 in Albany, Indiana to the late Earl and Dolly (Bales) Life. She graduated from Albany High School in 1940 and went on to earn her L.P.N. License from Ball Memorial Hospital where she worked for over 30 years in Respiratory Therapy Department, retiring in 1983. Maxine attended True Light Baptist Church and enjoyed reading, painting, and golfing.

Maxine is survived by her husband of 22 years, David Jones; four children Sandra Holmes (husband Joe) of Muncie, James Pitser (wife Maggie) of Albany, Shirley Marquell (husband Tom) of Eaton, and Cinda Daugherty (husband Larry) of Albany; two step-children, David A. Jones (wife Linda) of Moriarty, NM and Kathy Jones Lee (husband James) of Muncie; a sister, Roberta St.John of Warren; 13 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 6 step-great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and a nephew.

Maxine was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Leo Pitser; her 2nd husband, Bob Niestel; a step-son, Richard Jones; a great-grandson, Patrick Booth; and one nephew.

The family of Maxine would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Liberty Village for all of there love and kindness they showed to Maxine and David.

A funeral service to celebrate Maxine''s life will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Road 3, Muncie, with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating. Burial will follow in Black Cemetery, Albany, IN.

Friends and family may gather to share and remember from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Garden View Funeral Home.
