Michael L. Mills, age 55, of Middletown, IN went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2011 at St. Johns Medical Center, Anderson, IN with his loving family at his side. He was born August 12, 1955 in Muncie to Edison and Virginia (Jordan) Mills. He was a Vietnam veteran of the US Navy. He was a transport driver for 22 years, most recently with Truck Movers of Kansas City, driving all over the country delivering trucks and other vehicles. Mike was an avid NASCAR and racing fan who loved to travel and spend time with his family. He was a member of the Middletown American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Paula, and sons, Michael Mills Jr., and his wife Brittany, of Nappanee, IN, and Christopher Mills, and his wife Anna, of Cromwell, IN; daughters, Trina Brantlinger, and her husband Shawn, of Middletown, and Michele Mills, of Middletown; brother, Randy Mills, and his wife Seada, of Muncie; grandchildren, Mikey, Breanna, Kaden, Kloe, Christopher, Mitchell, Sarah, Collin, Sebastian, Thomas, Tyler, Jacob, Jalen, Jaci, and a baby boy on the way; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, David E. Mills.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN 47303 with visitation from 11:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Johns Medical Center in honor of Michael L. Mills. The family would also like to send a special thanks to the staff of St. Johns Medical Center for their tremendous support, care and affection shown to Michael.
