Mildred Harden 83, of Muncie, passed away on October 2, 2018 after a short illness with her family by her side. Mildred was born in Omar, West Virginia February 22, 1935 to Emzea and Desie Browning. She was the oldest of four children. Surviving are her two loving sisters Sara Ledford of Switzer, West Virginia and Shirley Hensley of Kermit Kentucky. Her only brother Emzea Browning Jr. preceded her in death.

In 1955 she married the love of her life Robert Harden. Together they had seven children, Robert Harden (Betty), Caroline Winfrey (Tom), Brenda Jones, Brian Harden (Lori), Brett Harden, two babies died at birth Russell & Drussel. Husband Robert passed away in 1995.

Mildred is also survived by 14 grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Robert Harden, Jada Moss, Matt Harden, Joe Harden, Jarron Harden, Ashley Harden, David Williams, Kelly Anderson, Ann Harden, John Harden, Katie Bradshaw, Joseph Robert Harden and Tanner Harden; 22 great-grandchildren Bryant, Charla, Jayla, Destinee, Hunter, Robert Jr., Emma, Jayden, Emma, Gabby, Ashilynne, Christian, Lucas, Audrina, Embry, Jessalyn, Trey, Carter, Jaycob, Nick, Hudson, Eli and four great-grandchildren who preceded her in death, Josiah, Joseph Jr., Caroline and Lenard.

When she was younger she enjoyed crafts, scrapbooking, collecting dolls and bears and thrift store shopping. Per her wishes there will be no calling or services. She will be sadly missed by her family, who she loved dearly and who loved her dearly. She is reunited with her loved ones in heaven. Mildred was very loving and kind person, who knew no enemies. She rescued countless dogs and cats over her lifetime.

Arrangements where entrusted to the care of Garden View Funeral Home. Burial was privately in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
