Obituary

Mildred Weston Stebbins, 89, went to be with the Lord Sunday evening, June 21, 2009, at Muncie Health and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.
She was born, May 21, 1920, in Hamilton Township the daughter of Jacob and Stachia (Kauffman) Sharp and graduated from Royerton High School in 1938.
Mrs. Stebbins was employed with RCA in Indianapolis for several years and had also been a nurse's aide at Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was a member of DeSoto Garden and Home Ec. Club, Ball State Sympathy Club, Eagle Lodge FOE #231 Auxilary, and attended DeSoto United Methodist Church. She loved to play bingo and enjoyed her trips to the river boats.
Surviving are her daughter, Stachia Curtis, Muncie; a brother, Worth Sharp, Muncie; a half sister, Helen Homer, Denver, CO; a sister-in-law, Virginia Sharp, Selma; former son-in-law, Johnnie Brendel, Muncie; two grandchildren, Larry Michael Weston, Jr. and Cheryl Weston; step-granddaughter, Alicia Vincent; several nieces and nephews; and her grandson dogs, Rusty Lee and Tiger James.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Stebbins; her son, Larry Michael Weston, Sr.; two sisters, Charlotte Russell and Mary Morris; her brother, John Sharp; and her son-in-law, Norman Lee Curtis in April.
Memorial services will be held in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009.
Inurnment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel from 10:30 a.m. on Friday until time of service.
