Monnie C. Guinn, 88, of Muncie, died Monday evening, January 14th, 2013 at Elmcroft Senior Living. She was born, June 30th, 1924 in Covington, TN. and is the daughter of the late William Henry & Sarah A. (Glass) Travis.
Monnie retired in 1986 from the Dietary Department at Ball Memorial Hospital. She attended True Light Baptist Church. She had been employed by Firestone Rubber Company in Memphis, TN., before moving to Muncie in 1950. She married her late husband Dean E. Guinn on November 22nd, 1946
Monnie is survived by her three sons and one daughter. Jerry Guinn (Jo) of Waco, TX., Steve Guinn (Lisa) of Muncie, and Mary Baker (Jim) of Muncie; a grandson Jason Guinn (Maggie) of Dallas, TX.; a granddaughter Ashley Baker of Muncie; a sister Nora Lee Hale (Bill) of Panama City, FL.. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dean E. Guinn, one brother and three sisters.
Funeral Services for Monnie will be held January 18th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Collins Glenn officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
