Myma Jean Atchley, 67, of Muncie, IN went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 23, 2007 at 3:35 AM at Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 15, 1939 in Tennessee the daughter of the late Johnnie and Ceola (Robbins) Reed.
Myma made floral arrangements and oil paintings. She was also a loving wife, mother, and friend to everyone who knew her.
Surviving relatives include her husband of 43 years: Charles Atchley of Muncie, a son, Richard Atchley (wife - Trudy) of Gaston; two daughters, Vikki Heavenridge (husband - Randy) of Muncie, Teresa Holloway of Monterey, TN; one brother, Travis Reed of Monterey, TN; one sister, Christine Johnson (husband - James) of Anderson, IN; nephew, Dwayne Johnson of South Lyon, MI; sister-in-law, Shirley "Skip" Reed of Albany, IN; seven grandchildren, Tammy Atchley, Rick Atchley Jr. Latasha Holloway, Jackie Holloway, Megan Shufelt, Randy Heavenridge Jr., Jon Shufelt; four nieces, Cindy Piner of Albany, IN, Jonna Dittmore of Liberty, IN, Susan Welch of Muncie, Terry Bauer of TX; brother and sisters-in-laws, Virgil Cooper (wife - Dorothy), Betty Topper, Carolyn Atchley. Several nieces and nephews in Tennessee. Myma was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Jesse Reed.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN with Pastor Larry Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Monday, February 26, 2007 at the funeral home.
