Nancy S. Bales of Muncie, Indiana passed away at the age of 75 on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at her home in Yorktown, Indiana surrounded by family after an extended illness. She was born in Muncie, Indiana on March 29, 1946 to the late Beulah F. Gibbs (Bales) and Lavon Bales.

Nancy graduated from Gaston High School in 1964 and worked for the automotive industry until she was 73 years old. She really enjoyed crafting and time with her grandpuppies and family. She never met a stranger. She loved going shopping and talking to all the different people she met. Her favorite time of year was Christmas. She loved giving gifts to all of her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Lora Bales (life partner, Tonya); grandson, Xavier Caulk-Bales; sisters-in-law, Marcie Bales and Judy Pyles (husband, Bob); nephews, James Bales (wife, Tracy) and Tom Bales (wife, Michelle); niece, Natalie Bales; great nieces and nephews, Chris Bales, Cassie Bales, Nicholas Bales, Nathan Bales, and Cora Bales; and extended family, Karina, Damien, Skyler, Taylor, Craige, Pimber, Obrynn, and Lotus.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Beulah F. Gibbs (Bales) and Lavon Bales and brother, Fred Bales.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with memorial services immediately following at 3:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com .
