Obituary

HARTFORD CITY - Nikki L. Crouse, 65, died at 10:25 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Hartford City on March 25, 1945 to Donald Lee Grace and Alma Mae (Bennett) Grace. Both parents are deceased.
Nikki married William Alva "Bill" Crouse on July 25, 1975 in Hartford City. He precedes her in death on April 20, 2004.
She retired from Key Plastics in 2007 and she had formerly been the manager for Pak-A-Sak for many years.
Nikki was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Hartford City, Business Professional Women (BPW), AMVETS Auxiliary, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Ladies of the Moose and the Hospital Auxiliary where she had worked 200 plus hours at the Indiana University Health Blackford Community Hospital. She was a former Cub Scout Den Mother, a Nazarene Church Youth Leader, she was on the Sunday School Board at the Nazarene Church, and she attended Thomas Hale Senior Citizen's Center in Hartford City.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Robin D. Elliott Sutton of Hartford City; Sylvia D. (husband, Charles) Hovey of Maquoketa, IA; sons, Bradley D. (wife, Natasha) Elliott of Maryville, Tennessee; Brian A. (wife, Jennifer) Elliott of Hartford City; John L. (wife, Deida) Crouse of Eaton; Steve Crouse of Eaton; Rodney D. (wife, Sherry) Crouse of Muncie; Joe W. (wife, Vickie) Crouse of Muncie; grandchildren, Jordon Elliott, Hannah Elliott, Kayla N. Sutton, Tammy M. Sutton, Kendra R. Sutton, Zachary C. Elliott, Blake A. Elliott; great-grandchild, Ryleigh E. Kemp and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren on the Crouse side of the family; brothers, David Eric (wife, Anita) Grace of Hartford City; Steve A. (wife, Elaine) Grace of Clarksville, Tennessee; sister, Pamela D. Grace of Hartford City.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and son Edwin E. Crouse.
Funeral service for Nikki will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City with Pastor Steve and Laura High officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011 and from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Keplinger Funeral Home.
