Nora Irene Hazelbaker, 95, of Muncie died Wednesday morning, May 9th, 2012 at Liberty Village Health Care. She was born February 27th, 1917 in Greenup KY, and was the daughter of the late Phillip S. & Pearl Ann (Brown) Aldridge. Irene was a loving mother and grandmother and caregiver that enjoyed cooking for her family. Irene enjoyed gardening, her flowers, and watching her birds. Her family was very precious and dear to her. She is survived by a son Rex Slye (Nancy) of Lapel, IN; two daughters, Pam Koger (Danny) and Vicki Hazelbaker Koester both of Muncie; eleven grandchildren, Jeff and Rick Slye, Kim Gipson, Shana Lawless, Romi Slye, Dawn Estep, Jamie Friar, Autumn Duncan, Traci and Eric Lutton, and Alex Hazelbaker; several great and great-great grandchildren; a sister Elva Garrett of Muncie. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Walter Hazelbaker; a son Bill K. Hazelbaker; three brothers and four sisters Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 14th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating.
