Norma Delee McClellan, of Muncie, went to be with her Lord unexpectedly Monday, November 21, 2011 at her home. She was born January 17, 1940 in Albany, IN to Oscar and Audrey (Bousman) Clark. She was a homemaker most of her life. Norma was very active in her church serving as hospitality hostess, Dare to Care coordinator, and in the Music Ministry. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Norma is survived by her husband of 55 years, Oliver "Sonny" McClellan; daughter, Deborah Gary, (husband Keith), of Muncie; granddaughters, Brooke Wagner, (husband Kyle), of Richmond, IN, Breanne Rose, (husband Mathew), of Muncie, and Brittany Gary, of Muncie; brother, Bill Clark, (wife Rozetta), of Portland, IN; sisters, Mary Miller, (husband Malcolm), of Muncie, Louise Harting, (husband David), of Muncie; brother-in-law, Dave McClellan, (wife Karol), of Portland, IN; sisters-in-law, Ruth Grubbs, of Columbus, IN, Jeanette Sibery, (husband Bob), of Union City, IN, and Marilyn Smith, of Union City; fifteen nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her son, Rusty McClellan, in 1985.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 10:00 AM at First Church of the Nazarene, 3101 N. Benton Rd., Muncie, IN 47304 with Pastor Mark Dill officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. Visitation will be at the church Friday, November 25 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM and from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday. Memorial Contributions may be made to the First Church of the Nazarene.
