Norma Snyder, 84, of Madison, TN, former resident of Muncie, IN, died March 3, 2010 at her residence in Madison, TN. She was born on December 28, 1925 in Lapel, IN the daughter of Herman A. and Eva Mae (Sturdevant) Hendricks. On May 30, 1943 she married James Snyder.
Norma loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with all her children and grandchildren. While in Muncie she was a member of the Southside Nazarene Church. She loved the Lord. She enjoyed cooking.
Surviving relatives include her two sons and two daughters, Thomas Snyder (wife: Sherry); Larry Snyder (wife: Shannon) both of Muncie, IN; Denise Frazier and Sharon Pierce both of Madison, TN; three brothers, Bill M. Hendricks (wife: Diana) of Frankton, IN; Myron K. Hendricks (wife: Katherine) of Alexandria, IN; David L. Hendricks (wife: Mel) of Alabama; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Karen; two brothers, Harry and Joseph Hendricks.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday March 8, 2010 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Monday from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude''s Children Hospital in memory of Norma Snyder.
